Pizza Fiesta: Slot Overview
Pizza lovers, and hey, who doesn't enjoy a slice of pie covered in salty melted cheese, why not join us as we grab a snack with Games Global studio Hammertime Games as it honours the popular round food in its online slot Pizza Fiesta? The host for this event is Chef Flavio, an exceptionally smiley chap who works in an establishment that not only serves food but flips to disco mode so patrons are able to boogie when free spins trigger. As well as free spins are growing jackpots and a coin symbol awards system in what is a reskin of the Hammertime Games release Mega Magic Spell 2.
Pizza Fiesta's setting is a fancy pizza restaurant with clothed tables and cheerful patrons. There seems to be way more pizzas on tables than there are people, though, which looks odd. Maybe they had to dash off to use the facilities or are bopping on the dance floor - this will make more sense when free spins trigger as Flavio's joint transforms into a glitter-balled disco event.
Pizza Fiesta's doughy base, if you will, is a 5-reel, 4-row gaming matrix, where players get 20 paylines for landing winning combinations from the leftmost reel along. Several return-to-player models have been designed, depending on the market, while the default RTP is 96.08%, and the volatility setting is high. Stakes of 10 c to $/€50 are available, as is a free spins feature buy.
The list of Pizza Fiesta's pay symbols includes circles, clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades, then leaves, cheese, olives, tomatoes, and sliced meat. The lower-paying shapes award 5 to 10 times the bet when 5 matching ones hit, while the ingredient symbols are worth 20 to 40 times the bet for a 5-of-a-kind line. The pizza symbol with the slot's name on it is the wild symbol. Wilds are present on all reels and they substitute for any regular pay symbol. If wilds make their own winning lines, they pay up to 50 times the stake for a 5 OAK hit.
Pizza Fiesta: Slot Features
In Pizza Fiesta's base game, one of the main focuses is on landing jackpot symbols in an attempt to score jackpot prizes, which are growable. Other features in the game are Coin wins, multi-collection symbol types, free spins, and a bonus buy option.
Jackpots
The four jackpot prizes increase in value when the matching jackpot symbol lands. Jackpot symbols appear on reels 1 to 4, and jackpots may only trigger in the main game. The four jackpots and their value ranges are Mini: 5x-50x the bet, Minor: 10x-100x the bet, Major: 20x-500x the bet, and Mega: 100x-5,000x the bet (5,000x is Pizza Fiesta's max win). When a jackpot symbol lands, there is a chance its corresponding jackpot prize is randomly awarded.
Coin Awards
Coin symbols appear in both the base game and in free spins, bearing values of 1x to 25x the bet. When Coin symbols are in view, and a Collection symbol hits on the rightmost reel in the base game or in free spins, the Coin values are awarded.
Free Spins
Landing 5 scatter symbols (1 on each reel) to spell the word P, I, Z, Z, A, triggers 10 free spins. The round may be retriggered by landing a scatter on each reel. Players win +1 free spin for each scatter which lands when there is a Collection symbol on the rightmost reel. Free spins have these extra Collection symbols:
- Adder Collection symbol - adds a random value to Coin wins.
- Multiplier Collection symbol - multiplies Coin wins.
Buy Free Spins
The free spins round may be bought for 45x the bet, immediately starting the feature on purchase.
Pizza Fiesta: Slot Verdict
For a game featuring one of the most popular food items on the menu, Pizza Fiesta made for a rather unpalatable dish. For one thing, having to grow the jackpots was a chore, especially when they start at such low levels, and during the test session, when a jackpot was won, its value reset back to the starting level, adding to the task. Switching from 'rustic trattoria' to a free spins disco party felt strangely out of place, but in a themed restaurant in real life, who knows, the concept just might work. It wasn't particularly successful in Pizza Fiesta, a bit different, but then again, nothing was particularly successful in this cheerful pizza pie clone, which delivers gameplay that failed to excite the first time around.
Of the many, many YouTube channels devoted to travel, one is made by New York resident Here Be Barr, who takes viewers to hotspots around town, shows them tourist attractions, reveals hidden gems, and different neighbourhoods while suggesting various places to eat. When it comes to eating out on the channel, pizza comes up often (unsurprisingly, since we're talking about New York City), but what is surprising is the huge array of toppings that you can find on a pizza these days. As well as cheap cheese pies are wildly inventive ingredients that might make a traditional pizza purist blush. The same sadly cannot be said about a lot of the stuff coming out of the Games Global studios' oven at the moment, where every other slot seems to be either a clone, a Power Combo game, some distant relative of 9 Masks of Fire, a local jackpot number, or a mixture. Bringing the focus back to the game at hand, as a reskin of Mega Magic Spell, which was neither very mega nor magic when it was reviewed, Pizza Fiesta was an insipidly bland dish.
Mediocre
Some say there’s no such thing as bad pizza; Pizza Fiesta could be the exception to the rule.
