Microgaming just announced minutes ago that they will be releasing a follow up to the popular Playboy Video Slot. The game will be titled Playboy Gold and is played on a 6-reel format with 10 rows and 100 paylines. Playboy Gold has both base game and bonus features.

Playboy Gold has been developed by Triple Edge Studios, a new independent studio that is providing exclusive content to Microgaming. Officially launching at ICE in February, the studio will be creating original, high quality games which will be available exclusively to Microgaming and Quickfire operators.
We’ll have to wait and see what high quality means in this case. In the case of Microgaming’s partnership with slot developers JFTW, the games launched have been quite bland. In other words, we’re not holding our breath, but we hope to be surprised of course.
There are a few things we can tell just by looking at this one screenshot (besides from the hot girls). The control panel (where you see credits and the spin button) is of the same kind Microgaming have been using on slots with lower volatility (for example the Halloween slot). The setup also looks much like the kind of slots WMS likes to produce, which quite honestly doesn’t bring much hope of a good game.
