Max Megaways 2 is played on a game grid with 6 main reels and a 4-symbol top reel known as the Extra Reel. When including the Extra Reel, up to 7 symbols can appear on each, and if maxed out with symbols, 117,649 ways to win are active. Max Megaways 2's location might be a long way from the volcanic lair (around 384,400 km) of the original version, but its gameplay is a lot closer. No bad thing because Max Megaways was a blast, and all the good things about that first one have more or less come back for round two. And it's not exactly the same, of course. Big Time Gaming has seen fit to shake up the scenery as well as a few features while boosting some of the numbers. Along with the RTP increase, which is always a welcome move, the max win in the bonus round is now 147,620x the stake. Hey, that's what it said in the game info sheet. Indeed, we have come to realise that the advertised win potential of BTG slots rarely, if ever, seems to materialize, as evidenced by the lack of maximum wins (or even close to max wins) showcased on our Youtube channel or streamers.
