RTP comes in several forms, 96.19% being the largest possible value, while volatility is high in all versions. The corn-fed action is available on any device, taking bets ranging from between 15 p/c to $/€15 per spin.

The farming theme is bolstered by a paytable possessing eleven regular pays, corn symbols, a wild, a scatter, and a bunch of chickens. During the base game, chicken symbols may land on the reels. When they hit, they increase the modifier value displayed above them at the top of the four outer reels – this could be a win multiplier or a number of added wilds. Moreover, corn symbols may land on the middle reel; these ones increase the Mother Hen Prize pot displayed above them.

The BIG BuildUp feature may trigger randomly on any main game spin to award one or more of the stored Mother Hen Prize, Wild Symbols, or multipliers. Each awarded wild symbol adds an extra position to the reel. If the multipliers are awarded at the same time as the Mother Hen Prize, they multiply this prize only. At first, Lucky Clucks was a case of oh here we go again, another wacky release from Crazy Tooth. To be sure, the game is indeed wacky, and like just about everything Crazy Tooth does, Lucky Clucks will be an acquired taste. There are few studios out there that compare to these guys, with the exception of, say, Russian crew Igrosoft, who also stick out like a sore thumb in an entertainment industry tripping over itself to be bigger, brighter, and more innovative. Some may admire the way Crazy Tooth does its thing, following no fad or trend, seemingly oblivious to everything else going on in the iGaming sphere.

Anyway, Lucky Clucks did grow on us, slightly, after playing it for a while. It's hardly what you'd call a great game, but players who like a bit of anachronistic quirk might be intrigued. The features aren't bad; the base game occasionally awards something from the BIG BuildUp to keep things bobbing along. Raise the Roof free spins triggered less frequently in a sort of barnyard Hotline 2 type way. The main issues are likely to be the fact Lucky Clucks looks budget, though the animations are snappy, and the low symbol values lead to low overall potential of 2,289x the bet. Despite the highly volatile label, it feels like Lucky Clucks might suit players who like regular features firing off modest payouts.

Perhaps there's a narrow niche out there that would be ideal for Lucky Clucks to nest in. If old school looks, humorous critters, or irreverent humour count for more than big wins, Lucky Clucks might be the go. There's an okay game lurking here for the right person, but as is often the case, Crazy Tooth makes you work hard to find it.
