Queen Bill Does NOT Approve

Poor Jessica. She’s been feeding on humans who aren’t Hoyt…and when she confides her shame to Bill, she’s met with that face up there.

HYPOCRITE, MUCH?

Words fail me.

Bill puts on his best sanctimonious, judgey father voice to inform his wayward progeny that she’d better not have committed this heinous act in view of a camera or “not even he can save her”.

Not even you, eh Bill? I guess autonomous decision making may pose a problem for Puppet Queens Kings.

On another note, Bill’s belaboring of this particular point makes me fear for Jessica. I fear for her very much. You just know one of those FOTS kids out the front of Fantasia caught this with their phone cameras…unbeknown to her.

Moving on.

Eric is in Sookie’s house again, expanding on his “sunshine in a pretty blond bottle” speech – and of course Sookie is giving him lip and presuming this is a threat. But then Eric says something surprising (well, to Sookie. Not to us).

Check it out below – the interesting stuff comes in at 0:42

its annoying that they always interview Paquin and Moyer and see them as the only main protragonist, but its likely that they mainly interview them because they are married…

The problem is that all those celebrity magazines are always emphazising the Bill Sookie relationship, they think because Moyer/ Paquin are together, their characters should also be together ugh…

Well, I don’t think the magazines necessarily think B/S should be together, I think that depends on who writes the article and a lot of them try not to take sides.

But I agree that they give their marriage a lot more attention than they should.

I would hate it less if it didn’t seem like people only follow celebrity relationships in order to enjoy the melodrama of the frequent break-ups. I doubt their marriage was an hour old before there was a betting pool on how long it would last. That’s why I just generally prefer to know as little as possible. I follow this show too closely to remain as blissfully ignorant as I would like, but I do try. ;)

Yeah them being married is exciting stuff for the press. That’s the kind of the thing the press lives for so we get a lot of questions for those 2 about all that (It’s gossip fodder you know?)

Below is another interview with these 2,

    tp://www.accesshollywood.com/_video_1335571

of which the most interesting part was her talking about Debbie. Sookie and Debbie trying to kill each other? Hmmm. I really thought Debbie would have a separate story with the weres and the shifters this year. So this makes me excited. I am still hoping against hope that we get the Eric/Sookie/Debbie scene. And as long as AB does not give that scene to either Bill or Alcide, I will be satisfied.

Maybe there will be a Debbie/Sookie/Eric scene but it will be post-amnesia Eric and he will arive after she kills Debbie. He could say how impressed he is with Sookie. However, they alreay buried a body together. Eric taught Sookie how to bury a body so I guess she can handle this one by herself. I think there was a scene where Sookie was outside with a gun. Last season Sookie said, “next time I won’t miss”.

Yeah, Bill, seriously. You may be torturing and killing off all the vamps caught on camera having a snack, but it’s not like you aren’t indulging yourself. You are just more discreet about it. And you have a private dungeon. So, instead of sending Jessica some mixed moral signals, how about renting some space by the hour? It’s not like you are providing any real parental guidance here, might as well provide some safety.

Subjugating your own needs and wants for someone else’s? That is NOT love. That is dysfunction – and that is precisely Ball’s point. People THINK that defines love all the time. People give up the most fundamental, core aspects of their being because they think it proves their “love”. It does not. I proves how little they love themselves.

Ball is talking out the side of his mouth – and that’s coming from me, who usually flies into a rage over comments like these. This one is pretty transparent IMO.

I donno if this is a law that the AVL have come up w/as part of damage control from RE, or if the Human public have pushed this to be a law. It sounds to me like even feeding from willing Humans is illegal, otherwise why are they all so adament about not being caught feeding on Humans.

    [Reply]

Yeah Ball said this in an interview this week. That if any vampire is caught on film they are executed. So Nan must’ve put an end to it, well to not do it in public and not get caught at least while they’re trying to win back the human public.

    [Reply]

    Dee Reply:

Forgot to say that this is probably the whole vigilante thing. Yes, they’re doing it for the right reason so they can win back the human public but at the same time it is going too far by executing anyone who feeds from a human in public. It’s an action they all do, they’re all still going to feed from humans I’m sure and we see Daisy has bite marks at Bill’s house. If you’re stupid enough to get caught though, you’re killed.

Bill wants Jessica be better then him and that Bill advice Jessica to make sure when she does feed not to be on camera and he can’t save her. If Jessica is stupid to be caught, then she should be punished and the same thing for Bill.

Bill should follow his own advice because he might be the one who gets caught on camera feeding and he be in big trouble with Nan.

    skargasmic Reply:

I have a horrible feeling that when we saw the clip of Nan saying “No dead humans or I will have your ass” and he says “I’ll take care of it personally” that they are talking about Jessica. Bill really should have spent more time with her instead of leaving her to her own devices so he could be around his mission (Sookie) more. We know he did not want Jessica but once he had her, he had that obligation to her. He owed it to her really. With that being said, I like Jessica so I hope nothing happens to her.

    [Reply]

    Ashley Reply:

Well, I can’t speak for everyone else, but that’s not the part I took issue with.

The part I found hypocritical was the fact that he’s making faces at Jessica and acting high and mighty with regard to her feeding on humans, when he’s doing the same thing himself behind closed doors, as we’ve seen from the promos. This isn’t even about killing humans, it’s just feeding.

says this ” Vampires Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer, his Southern accent shakier than ever) and Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) are part of a new vampire hierarchy after the overthrow of ruthless undead king Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare, who stole Season Three but remains entombed offscreen in the three new episodes available for review”nd

I really LOVE Hoyt/Jessica, but it sounds like Jessica did more then just feed on someone else. Hoyt deserves better then that IMO. I’d rather see them split up then her continue to cheat on him. Jessica needs to either be w/someone who doesn’t care much of what she does, or just be single. I have a feeling that Hoyt might be one of the ones who die by Seasons end.

Well, it sounds like the donor was really into her. So she might have kissed him, flirted with him, etc. But I don’t she had sex, I think she truly feels guilty for feeding off someone else. “AS & ERW who both play vampires in the show also attended” WTK??? Who writes these commentaries? That’s what bothers me. Forget the real life marriage and all the related media-hype, the fact that after all this time people out there still don’t know that AS interprets not a marginal antagonist but a CORE character is insufferable, FFS! I HATE THAT! Ok, I’m cooling down now, rant over!

Maybe they wanted to throw AS and ERW together in that announcement for another purpose.

I think most people don’t think this way…this commentator is just and idiot, who obviously doesn’t watch the show, ykwim? ;)

That’s exactly how I feel. Bill should not even be in season 4 with the excetption of a few minutes saying he leaving who cares where. UGH!

I’ve said it before Ball really disapointed me with this. :(

Bill is never going to go away. We have to accept that.

    booksookie Reply:

See, I don’t care about Bill not going away, I understand that he’s needed in order to make some(very debatable but, nevertheless interesting) points and I, for one, love to hate him. Actually, it’s not even him that I hate, but the fact that there are so many women out there always ready to find excuses for him. And I want to be clear on this: I don’t hate his followers but the fact that he HAS followers!
I’ve said it and I’ll say it again: the first turning point for me this season will be when the opening credits first roll: I want to see where AS stands. If he’s still just a regular, that’s inexcusable in my book. I admire AB’s work, I understand most of the changes he’s made, but this goes beyond TB into the territory of SVM and Eric’s role in them and into my heart as a fan! Just my opinion!

Seriously, I am SO over Bill! I tolerated him last season but now I just want him to go away.
    I can’t stand his holier-then-thou attitude because he’s such a hypocrite!

Ugghhh….can Sunday get here already??!!!! These last few days of waiting are just killing me! I have tried to stay spoiler-free…UNSUCCESSFULLY!
I have seen bits and pieces here and there, read all the speculations…and I think I am going slowly insane. I need the show NOW!

I just hate the idea of Bill being king, they screwed up the whole stuff, Charlaine harris probably cringes when she sees that stuff.
Bill is freaking 100 something years old, its just too damn ridicolous if the becomes king, even when Nan still has controll over him, its just too stupid!! What if Nan gets killed off this season (I think this is possible), would that mean than that Bill has full controll over everything, Balls hard on for Bill/ Moyer makes me vomit!!!!

Even if Nan dies, Nan is not the Authority. Someone will follow her and take care of Bill. He is always 170 years old, if he doesn’t have any powerful allies he is royally SCREWED. Royally.

not in Alan balls world, I don´t think that someone would folow her.

The Authority is AB’s creation. Nan is NOT the authority, the authority is made up of several vamps. We don’t know how many but we saw them when Eric confessed. She is not even the head of the Authority, we see her getting instructions and them telling her what their decision was about RE, not Nan.

    [Reply]

    Dee Reply:

FOrgot to say that AB said The Authority are a shadow government so I’m sure there are quite a few who are a part of it. They are the real power behind the monarch and AVL.

Well, this isn’t going to do Bill any favors IMO. His hypocrisy is already shining through in just this one clip. And I think it could be pretty amusing to watch Bill try and order around people, and probably end up failing as usual. That’s just par for the course with Bill.

Remember last season when Jessica told Bill that she love Hoyt but he was to good for her and Bill just looked at her and didn’t even try to encourage her. I hope he steps up as a maker this season. He finally started to teach her a few things at the end of last season. Aunty Pam can help.

    [Reply]

    Ashley Reply:

Yep. Bill hates himself, so he thinks Jessica should do the same to herself. Which isn’t fair. Jessica shouldn’t feel like she’s not good or feel ashamed just because she’s a vampire. Bill is not raising her the right way IMO.

Even in this scene, the whole shame thing again, when Bill feeds on people as well. It’s just above and beyond sanctimonious.

    C.K. Reply:

Also, Bill gave this whole speech to Sookie saying that baby vampires have no humanity left so Jessica doesn’t and that it takes along time to gain it back. Bill attributes this “loss of humanity” to all vampire and it is not even true. Jessica still retains humanity (she feels guilty about cheating on Hoyt)etc… I don’t believe all vampires completely lose their “humanity” it just gets suppresed over the years like with Eric.

Lol to the comments. Look I am actually quite looking forward to the Bill / Jessica arc now, especially as I can see Bill be all sanctimonious and Jessica being a foil to him. It is not going to look good politically if he is a King and his own child is not playing ball. The hilarity that this would create I am sure is going to tickle my funny bone. Perhaps this is going to put some of the humour back into TB. He is a crap maker and I can see we are going to have plenty of fun at his expense, but I think it will be a hoot.

  • OK, SM is so much more attractive with his natural accent than with Beel’s. He’s still no ASkars though.
And LOL I love that Ryan Kwanten is like “It’s slightly more underground” (read: it’s watched illegally) and “They’ll do whatever they can to see it before it premieres” (read: they download it as soon as they can get their hot little hands on it). Listen up, networks – you want us to watch your channels, get True Blood to Aus at the same time as the US!

Fellow Aussie Belle – yeah I agree. Scifi on Foxtel (or syfy as its now called FFS) did it with the last season of BSG – they showed it within a couple of hours of the US eps airing and it was fantastic to be able to watch it all unfold along with the rest of the US fans. It made it that much more exciting. Foxtel really haven’t capitalised on the mass appeal of TB and I am sure with a more assertive campaign and better scheuduling, they would have had a hit on their hands. The problem here in Oz, ultimately, is that the cable/satellite market is tiny compared to the US and UK/Europe so I think TB has suffered accordingly.

I just saw the extended clip(on forum) of Bill/Jess and is does seem like he is teaching her to be more honest so I will give him credit for that (I know that probably won’t be the popular opinion). Jess and Hoyt don’t seem to happy in their clip either. I hope Bill becomes a better maker for Jessica’s sake.
